Veteran programmer David Corey returns to Bell Media where he will serve as a Radio Programming Management Consultant, effective Sept. 1. Corey previously served as VP/Programming for the Canadian broadcast group’s 100+ radio stations and as PD of CHUM Toronto (104.5), working at the company from 2006-2017.
Corey most recently held the title of Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Media Detroit, overseeing hot AC WDVD (96.3) and country WDRQ (93.1). He exited the cluster in June upon the sale of WDRQ to Family Life Broadcasting.
Prior to his role in Detroit, Corey was with Beasley Media Group, where he served as Country Brand Manager and Program Director of country WKLB-FM Boston (102.5), exiting the group in June 2020.
His radio career began at the age of 17 at iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston, where he eventually rose to APD/MD.
